Seems so long ya.. how's everyone's doing? Have u all start msising me? Me too, i miss all of u all also... Yep, I've reached and settle down in Chengdu le.... It's been about 10 days since I've reached here ya.... So far, things are pretty fine over here... Haha, gonna a feeling that this entry will be very long ya.... Here goes...
Firstly, wanna thanks alot to all who came to send me ya... Really happy about it... and we took alot of pics as well ya... (",) *hugs*
Thanks liz for ur cushion and dolphin ya, the dolphin is always on the table next to my bed... next time i take pic for u to see ya.. And also thanks to all who wrote me letters and cards, I really enjoyed reading them ya...
Thanks to sok, dor and shaun for coming and also had we had breakfast together ya..And also those bak ku teh and curry spices and my fav biscuits that u all bought for me! *hugs* And dear dor, dun cry ya... u nearly make me cry also ya... hush hush, i'll be back soon ya... *hugs*
Right, so after we depart, had a flight of bout 4 plus hours, gee, i got a window seat..lucky! Nice view too... It was very cold when we arrived at chengdu, and was alittle dizzling... i was really freezing and shaking ah... even with 3 layers of clothing.... blurrr.... Only some days are better, with abit of sunlight.... Right now, my fingers are still numb ya....
Haha, alright enough complaints bout the weather, it's not everyday u can experience this in singapore, so juz try to enjoy the cold for now... Now to my life there, all the 10 of us are living in a apartment, quite similar to our 5 rooms apartment in S'pore... So far still doing fine ya, no fighting or anything, haha.... Everyday, we would wake up, had breakfast and leave for office together... have lunch together.. knock off and haven dinner together, do our errands and shopping together also... cleaning the house together, washing clothes together... haha... hope we wun get sick of facing each other everyday ya....
Now to our attachment.... all of us working in the same place, in a very big room but in different project teams... with denny, simon & xueshan doing j2ee, Alvin & YS doing C sharp, and me, leon, adrian, alex and paul doing sql reporting services... So far everything is still alright.... Our OIC and deputy GM are also singaporean... both of them very nice ya.. but the locals here are also very nice and friendly.... except for their way of speaking, still haven get used to it, even though that's mandarin as well.... So dun really understand.... Haha...
There's many shops and malls such as carrefour near our apartment, so we practically been shopping everywhere everday after work.. Their food here is really very good and cheap, but .... all the dishes here are very very very oily, salty and spicy.... Haizzz... how am i going to slim down like this? Their food are practically soaked in oil ah... Despite this, for dunno wat reason, each of our meals are getting better each day... and i got a feeling this trend would still continue ah...hahaa.... Oh ya, the guys have also tried rabbit meat, i still dun really dare to ah... but i very tempted to try, cos they say it's very nice... hmmm....
Another thing worth mentioning is their traffic here ah.... wah, or rather i should say there's no traffic at all... the zebra crossing, traffic light crossing or road signs all no use de.. for show only.... cars can juz drive brush past u or drive on our walking pavement.... Seriously, if we are not in a big group, i would have been knock down few times a day le.... *sweat* Anyway, so far, all of us are slowly getting used to the food and liftstyle here le...
So over the last weekend, we went to Chengdu 'sim lim square' and 'orchard road'. Hey, it's not bad ah, really very nice..... and the things are really very cheap.... Haha, all of us are controlling not to convert to SG$, , if not we would overspend in no time ya... cos everythng is cheap sia. (",)
It's a boring cold day today, cos the requirements of my new report need clarification from the singapore client(Singapore Traffic Police) and they have not email us about it. But once the requirements comes in, we'll be very stressed up again...
Time here seems to pass so slow and yet so fast.. haha, dunno wat i writing also... anyway, weekends are coming, and this weekend we planning to go to the panda reserve center... it'll be very fun i think... Right now i still dun hav internet conn at my apartment, but soon we'll get it, and we can online @ night le ya... (",)
